Christmas in Edgartown

The slower and sleepier shoulder season on Martha’s Vineyard springs to life when the annual Christmas in Edgartown rings in the holiday season on the island.

Festive spectators gather at the historic Harbor View Hotel to toast and cheer the lighting ofEdgartown Harbor Light to kick off the weekend long festivities. A beautiful evening concert follows at the Old Whaling Church to help get everyone in the joyful spirit.

On Saturday, the official parade starts and travels down Main Street and ends with Santa greeting the energetic crowd.

Then it’s time to sip, shop and savor the restaurants and stores that are beautifully decorated throughout the town.  There are activities for everyone – including wreath making at Donaroma’s, horse carriage rides at the hotel, and a kid’s train that circles the wharf.

Come along for a holly jolly tour of this merry seaside celebration.
