There is no such thing as a bad time of day on the island of Nantucket. But if we had to pick our favorite, it would be just as the sun starts to rise over the island neighborhood of Brant Point.
The streets, cottages and boat basin are awash in a golden glow that truly makes this a treasure island.
We love taking the first ferry out of Hyannis and watching the sunrise over Brant Point Light just as we are pulling into the harbor. If we are lucky enough to be staying on island, we grab a quick coffee to go and head out for a long walk around a still sleeping town. The hustle and bustle of summer traffic is still hours away and it’s easy to feel like you have this tiny island all to yourself.
