It’s safe to say that any wedding that describes the attire as “Casual and Beach Fancy”, is going to be a good time. Surrounded by an intimate group of family and friends, and captured by local photographer Emily Elisabeth, Nantucket girl Nellie and her Minnesota coffee roasting groom Sam exchanged vows in a picture perfect ceremony on the sands of her childhood home on Miacomet Beach. The summer bride wore a willowy floral appliqué gown, the groom a custom plaid suit with a hand sewn floral boutonnière. The wedding party was a range of blues and grays with just a touch of Nantucket Red. A tented backyard reception was filled with toasts, tears and plenty of dance moves. The atmosphere was warm and casual, just like the couple, as they danced the night away and into the next chapter of their island fairy tale.
