There’s a great line from one of my favorite television comedies, Modern Family, where the patriarch Jay, upon seeing an amazing tray of antipasto, sliced meats and cheeses exclaims, “That’s charcuterie? I’ve been avoiding that on menus for years. They’re killing themselves with that name“. It makes me laugh because for years I thought the exact same thing. But then I discovered it on my honeymoon to Italy, and life has been better and more delicious ever since.
Lugano Wine Bar + Salumeria, located in Old Greenwich, CT combines the best of Italy with a sophisticated and spirited atmosphere. The menu features extensive Italian tapas selections with a wide assortment of cured meats and cheeses; it continues with an array of quality pastas, market fresh fish, all natural steaks and chops, hearty salads and gorgeous oyster and raw bar choices. Save room for one of their creative cocktails (their red wine sangria is a personal favorite) and for a dessert as they also have elegant classics such as tiramisu and tartufo. The happy hour options are just as plentiful and available most days from 4-7pm. Mangia, bevi e sposati!
