If you’re looking for the best hotel in Cape Elizabeth, Inn by the Sea offers a perfect blend of coastal charm and refined comfort. This luxury beachfront hotel in Maine features a variety of accommodations, including pet-friendly rooms, suites, and spacious two-bedroom beach suites ideal for couples, families, or small groups.
We stayed in a two-bedroom beach suite—the most spacious option on property, with 1,300 square feet of living space. The suite featured a private balcony with breathtaking Atlantic Ocean views, a two-sided gas fireplace, and a full kitchen. The master bedroom included a king bed, private dressing area, and spa-like bathroom with a soaking tub and glass shower.
Warm-weather stays include access to outdoor fire pits, lawn games, and beach amenities for guests headed to Crescent Beach State Park, located just a short walk from the hotel.

Sea Glass Restaurant, located inside Inn by the Sea, is one of the top-rated coastal restaurants in Cape Elizabeth—and it’s easy to see why. With floor-to-ceiling views of the Atlantic, this restaurant offers a seasonal, locally inspired menu featuring fresh Maine seafood and classic New England fare.

The Route 77 – Two Eggs Any Style with the crispiest bacon we’ve ever had, breakfast potatoes, and toast
Sweet Potato French Toast – topped with bourbon whipped cream, candied pecans & Maine maple syrup
Lobster Roll – lightly dressed Gulf of Maine lobster on buttery brioche with crispy fries
Fresh fruit, hot coffee, and Ghost Tequila Paloma Mimosas (yes, it’s a thing—and we highly recommend it)

While we didn’t make it to the spa this time (next visit—it’s happening), we already have our eye on a few standout treatments.
